Summer is here and the sun's out (for the most part). Between festivals, days out, holidays and parties, you need a solid selection of outfits to get you through the summer months. Cute tops and printed tees are everything this year! They're versatile and so easy to dress up or down, leaving you looking effortlessly chic.
Our go-to shop for t-shirts is Skinnydip London. They have slogans, graphics, patterns, you name it and it's on a t-shirt. You can then dress up your chosen tee with hair accessories, bags, iPhone cases and jewellery to give your friends serious outfit envy.
We've taken our favourite 4 tops (it was a tough decision) and styled them up to give you a bit of fashion inspo for the summer. What's even better is the 'Big Summer Blow Out' currently taking place at Skinnydip, which can get you up to 50% off... go and grab a bargain!
Without further ado, let's hit the outfits.
You can't go wrong with an animal print and a pop of colour. Here we've gone for zebra print, with some orange accents.
Firstly, can we address the bag? We're obsessed. Orange on one side and zebra on the other, you can simply flip it round to change the whole vibe of your outfit. Pair it with the cute mixed print scarf (worn as a hair accessory or tied to your belt loop) and some hoops, and you can fool people into thinking you have your life together.
In this outfit, you want to let the bag and scarf do all the talking, so we've kept it simple with a slogan tee and denim shorts. If you have hangry outbursts like we do, this is the perfect t-shirt for you. 'Sometimes I cry when I'm hungry. And what.'... can fully relate.
Did someone say festival? A graphic tee with some bike shorts and a bumbag is the easiest and most comfortable festival outfit going. We instantly fell in love with this t-shirt... who could resist that little hungry lobster (find out why lobsters turn red, here)?! The colours in it lend itself to some red, or even blue, bike shorts.
We find that bumbags are a great choice when you need your hands free and at a busy place, like a festival, they're a better option than a rucksack as you can always keep you eye on it. They also look super cool; bonus. Finish off the outfit with a necklace, like this stacked cactus number, and you're good to go.
Pro tip: Always carry a pair of sunglasses around with you. If the sun comes out, you have some eye protection handy and if the sun goes in, you can push them up onto your head to keep your hair out of your face.
OH HONEY, this outfit is adorable. Slogan tees with maxi skirts are winners and we are so obsessed with this particular combo. This t-shirt embodies business in the front, party in the back. You've got the simple text at the front and then you turn around and get an explosion of flowers... love, love, love. We picked out the red font to go with this cute red, floral skirt.
If you want to take the cute factor up a notch, grab a scrunchie and throw your hair into a half up, half down. This leopard print scrunchie not only looks good, but feels good too! It's got a fluffy texture, which actually adds extra grip to your hair, keeping your do in place for longer.
Stepping away from the t-shirts, but slipping back to the lobsters, we have this gorgeous tie-up crop top. The little lobster detailing really sold this number to us and we could instantly imagine ourselves rocking up to a picnic wearing this. We kept the outfit simple, pairing it with some bamboo earrings, denim shorts and a straw bag.
We also went all out lobster with this eye-catching towel. This can be taken to the beach or swimming pool, or used as a picnic blanket. It's super soft and has definitely earned its spot in our holiday suitcase.
