19th Govember 2019
We all know the trauma of baking some delicious cookies and leaving half of them welded to the tray. An hour of scraping later and you have a pile of chunks and crumbs rather than the GBBO-worthy cookies you'd set out to make.
This exact situation is why baking paper was invented and, boy, has it saved a few disasters. This was all good and well for a few years until we realised we needed to cut down on our use of single-use products. Enter stage right: silicone baking mats.
Silicone baking mats are the mother of all things non-stick. You could melt the stickiest of toffee on these bad boys and it'd come off, no trouble. They are also reusable, so you can bake on them, wash them up and use them again, which is great when you're trying to do your bit for the environment. Silicone baking products are so popular now that you can get them in so many different shapes and sizes, making them much more versatile.
That's one more bit of waste that you can cut out of the kitchen and continue to bake guilt-free!
Come back tomorrow for reuseable sanitary towels!
