Teaching kids aged 4 to 15 about loads of different aspects of science, from space, to the way magnetic fields work, to make slime!
On my Masters course we study the way an individual can be identified after a crime has taken place.
Do you have any secret talents?
I can do a strange Welsh/Scottish/Irish accent!
When did you decide you wanted to work as a scientist?
When I was young I always wanted to work in some form of science field, I even wanted to be a doctor at one point!

Chinese salt and chilli chicken with curry sauce. Nom!
What educational pathway did you take to get to where you are now?
I went to college to study a broad spectrum of science, then attended the University of Worcester for three years to complete a degree in Forensic Science and Applied Biology.

What's the best thing about your job?
I love being able to share all of the things I am passionate about to a younger generation and get them excited the same way I am.
What's the worst thing about your job?
It is very time consuming and I have to travel a lot!
If you could take one thing to an island, what would it be?
If I’m trapped on this island, a boat so I can escape! If not, a kindle so I can read all of my books.
If you could be anyone in the world for 24 hours, who would you be?
I would be the Queen, but only a day she doesn’t have to leave the palace! Servants, all the food I could eat…
Have you got any advice for young scientists?
I always thought it would be a dream to get to where I am today, but don’t sweat the small stuff and anything is possible!
