Christmas Days In & Out

4th December 2018

So, now you’ve got your Christmas playlist sorted, it would be rude not to make the most of it! Don’t worry if you haven’t got a party planned, you don’t need an excuse to blast out the Christmas tunes. But here are some festive activities you can do while listening to your music!

1! Ice Skating

Ice Rink

Grab your besties and take them to an ice skating rink. You can sing-a-long to Christmas music on the way there to get yourselves in the Christmas mood, then have a giggle on the ice while you try to stay standing! Finish with a gingerbread and hot chocolate to warm yourselves back up. It’s the perfect Christmas day out.

2! Christmas Light Spotting

Christmas Lights on Trees

Wait until it gets dark and change into your cosiest pyjamas and fill a flask with hot chocolate. Hop in the car, with the heating on full whack, and take a drive around to find the best Christmas light displays you can… there are some beautiful ones around! Your Christmas playlist will get you feeling all kinds of festive. If you fancy prolonging your evening, why not park up somewhere and watch an episode or two of your favourite TV show on your phone?

3! Christmas Fayre

Hanging Out

There’s always plenty going on at Christmas and the car journeys to these places are the perfect opportunity to get festive. Take Winter Wonderland, for example, it’s an amazing place for a day out, with all the rides, games, food and cosy fires! If you can’t get to London, there are loads of different options, just keep your eyes peeled for fayres near you. Christmas markets are also a great way to get into the festive spirit!

4! Aquarium

An aquarium may not strike you as a Christmassy place, but it’s an amazing winter day out! It’s a great way to get away from the cold air and into somewhere warm while enjoying yourself. If possible, try to go to an aquarium with penguins as these really are the cherry on top of the festive cake! Why not check out the gift shop for Christmas gifts for a friend or family member? Find out how penguins survive in cold conditions here!

5! Make a Blanket Fort

If you don’t fancy going out in the cold, blast out the Christmas tunes at home. Collect all the blankets and cushions you own and create a blanket fort. You could even hang up some fairy lights to make it feel even more festive. Set up a laptop inside your fort and put on your favourite Christmas films and eat your weight in Smores, candy canes and chocolate coins! Can you think of a more perfect use of a day? No, we can't either!
